Hello!
The ACE team is responsible for empowering student workers to achieve the working conditions we deserve. We work directly with union members and university management to enforce the contract between WWU and WAWU, and we use legal and procedural tools to ensure Western respects the rules we’ve mutually agreed upon. We help all student workers regardless of union membership, and every case we handle provides a unique opportunity to learn new skills, enforce our contractual rights, and meet fellow student workers from all across campus. ACE is a proactive, collaborative committee, and we would love to have you on board!
Prospective ACE members must attend a training prior to joining ACE! However, the information provided is very useful general knowledge, and we encourage all union members to come get trained, regardless of your interest in ACE. The ACE committee is hosting three trainings this quarter:
- Saturday, January 24th, 2026
- Saturday, February 21st, 2026
- Saturday, March 14th, 2026
Both orientations will be held online, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. If you’re interested in attending a session, please email ace@wawu-union.org, let us know which date you’d like to attend, and we will provide a link and further information directly to you.
In Solidarity,
Jase Kaeberlein
